Prysmatic Labs a annoncé que le Topaz Testnet de la phase initiale d’Ethereum (ETH) 2.0 est en ligne. Ce réseau ressemble plus que jamais à la chaîne de balises ETH2 tant attendue.

Environnement Testnet

Le 18 avril 2020 fut une journée Genèse pour Ethereum (ETH) 2.0, la version Preuve d’enjeu (POS) d’Ethereum. Selon les créateurs chez Prysmatic Labs, Topaz Testnet représente la configuration complète du réseau principal de la phase 0 d’Ethereum 2.0, qui est basée sur les dernières spécifications de la phase 0 d’ETH2 v0.11.1.

Selon Preston van Loon, co-fondateur de Prysmatic Labs, une énorme quantité de dépôts testnet ont été reçus de sources externes. Ceci afin d’aider au lancement de la version. Contrairement au précédent Ethereum (ETH) 2.0 testnet Sapphire, avec ses petits dépôts 3.2 ETH, Topaz nécessite 32 dépôts ETH mis en jeu dans l’environnement Goerli Testnet d’Ethereum (ETH) 1.0.

The Topaz Testnet from @prylabs now has a genesis time of April 18th, 2020 at 00:00:00 UTC!

Les performances de Topaz Testnet ont été indexées par Etherscan, l’explorateur de réseau le plus populaire d’Ethereum. Actuellement, il y a 18 637 validateurs actifs.

Prochaine étape : Multi-Client Testnet

Selon Terence Tsao, le développeur d’Ethereum, la prochaine étape cruciale pour Ethereum (ETH) 2.0 est le lancement du testnet multi-clients. Ce lancement a déjà été évoqué comme l’un des points de départ possibles du compte à rebours pour le déploiement sur le réseau principal d’Ethereum (ETH) basé sur le PoS.

Justin Drake, chercheur à la Fondation Ethereum et contributeur à Ethereum 2.0, a souligné que trois mois de fonctionnement fiable pour un testnet multi-clients sont un indicateur parfait de l’état de préparation d’ETH2.
